Hi, I’m Laura! Welcome.

I’m a therapist in San Jose, CA who brings depth, humor, and curiosity to the therapy room. I want to know your experience and what it’s like for you.

Who and how you are is welcome here.

San Jose therapy office

My work is grounded in the belief that you and your experiences make sense, even if it doesn’t always feel that way.

Instead of trying to get rid of thoughts, emotions, or behaviors by force, we look at the role they've been playing for you. If you’ve ever felt like you’re battling with your own brain, this can help you feel more like you’re on your own team. It is possible to create deep and meaningful change in a compassionate way.

I’m a depth-oriented therapist working with adults navigating a range of concerns. Most of my experience and development has focused on complex trauma and late-identified autism/ADHD.

Your experiences probably don’t fit neatly into boxes, and you don't have to come in with everything organized and figured out. There are so many spaces that suggest we are too much or not enough, and therapy does not need to be one of them.

A little more

Something I didn’t expect to hear as much as I do is that therapy isn’t like what you see on TV. The office is more comfortable, the process is more collaborative. It matters what you actually want to explore, what you’re feeling up for on a given day, and the ways therapy is and isn’t working for you.

As a therapist, I’m depth-oriented and lean toward experiential processing. Though we talk about your concerns, this kind of therapy is focused toward the roots—your emotional, felt experience and the deeply held beliefs that impact you and your relationships. Folks who seek this approach may be in a position where coping skills, self-awareness, or quick solutions have reached a stuck point, or left parts of you feeling unseen.

I’ll help guide our work, present options, and even find creative ways together—whether you are coming in for depth work and trauma healing, processing newly recognized neurodivergent identity, or a reliable place while navigating life’s challenges.
